As members of the “upper” elementary group, fourth-grade students become more independent and responsible for their learning. The fourth-grade structure is departmentalized, which provides students the opportunity to develop interpersonal skills and are challenged academically by different teaching styles in different classroom environments.
Our goal as the fourth-grade team is to support and motivate our students as they achieve the standards of academic scholarship. By diving into the curriculum, the students’ skills intensify towards analytical and critical thinking. We utilize technology to learn in a more sophisticated way, preparing them for higher levels of study and for the real world that lies ahead.
